In the Mixed Offshore World Series, a limited number of teams per nation compete, and racing results in one nation-based and one team-based ranking for each event. Besides rankings per event there is one world ranking based on all events. The scoreboard is based on the low-point system without discards. In case of a no-show, the corresponding nation or team for the regatta will receive the last place plus one additional point.

The winner of a season will be decided after all Mixed Offshore World Series events at the end of the season.
